Things to Know Before We Plan Your Trip

Planning your trip should feel exciting—not overwhelming.

Here are a few common questions about working with me and how I approach travel planning:

Do you really need a travel advisor if you like planning your own trips?

Not always—and I say that as someone who genuinely loves planning my own travel.

But some trips are more complex—like the Galápagos, African safaris, or multi-country itineraries—where logistics, timing, and local coordination really matter.

And sometimes, it’s not about whether you can plan it—it’s whether you want to. There are moments when you just want to take the trip without spending hours researching and piecing everything together.

That’s where I come in—so you can focus on the experience, not the logistics.

How much does it cost to work with you?

In most cases, there’s no upfront cost.

I’m typically paid through commission by hotels, tour operators, and travel partners—so booking through me is often the same price as booking on your own, with the added benefit of having everything researched and organized for you.

For more complex or group trips, there may be a planning fee depending on the level of customization—but that will always be discussed upfront.

What are the benefits of using a travel advisor?

• Access to preferred partner hotels with perks like complimentary breakfast, upgrades (when available), and late checkout
• Help with special requests like adjoining rooms or celebrations
• Thoughtfully designed itineraries based on your travel style
• A smoother, more seamless experience from start to finish

Are you available during my trip if something goes wrong?

If something comes up during your trip, I’m here to help where I can.

While I’m not a 24/7 concierge, I can assist with navigating changes or unexpected issues so you’re not figuring things out alone.

What types of trips do you plan?

I design thoughtful trips for solo travelers, couples, and small groups, with a focus on Asia and Europe.

I also have experience planning more active, adventure-based trips—including destinations like Patagonia, the Dolomites, and the Inca Trail.

Do you only book luxury travel?

Not at all. The goal is always to match the trip to your style—whether that’s elevated, adventurous, or somewhere in between.

Can you help with flights and points?

Yes—I love playing the points game and book most of my own flights using points.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed trying to figure out how to actually use your points, I can help you make sense of it and find the best options for your trip.

What happens after I inquire?

Once I review your responses, I’ll reach out to see if we’re a good fit and discuss next steps before building your itinerary.

If this sounds like what you're looking for…

The next step is a short inquiry form so I can understand your travel style, preferences, and what you’re hoping to get out of your trip.

No pressure—just a chance to see if we’re a good fit.
