Some of my favorite destinations, moments I captured through the lens, and a running list of “10 things”—whether it’s what to know before you go, lessons I took home, or tips to make your own trip better.
Argentinian Patagonia: El Calafate
El Calafate is all about the ice. This town exists because of one thing: Perito Moreno Glacier—a frozen giant you can walk on, sail beside, or see calve into the lake right from the boardwalk. But there’s more here than just ice. With big skies, better steak, and a gateway to deeper Patagonia, Argentinian Patagonia doesn’t just show up—it shows off.
Chilean Patagonia
Patagonia hits different. It’s remote, rugged, and dramatic in every direction. Getting there takes effort—and once you arrive, the wind doesn’t let up either. But between the jagged granite peaks, glacier-fed lakes, and trails that humble even the strongest legs, Chilean Patagonia earns every ounce of hype. This one’s not just a bucket list destination—it’s a come-back-again kind of place.
Easter Island
Getting to Easter Island isn’t easy—and honestly, that’s part of what makes it feel so unreal. Remote as hell, but worth every flight connection. Between the hauntingly still Moai and the deep-rooted Rapa Nui culture, this place earns its spot on the bucket list.
